A boom in industrial building at DFW International Airport is picking up steam with another project on the way.
Canada-based Dalfen Industrial is planning an almost 75-acre warehouse project at the south end of the airport near Airport Freeway. The planned project is part of the airport’s mixed-use Passport Park development.
Dalfen plans to build three industrial buildings with more than 1.2 million square feet, according to filings with the DFW Airport board.
The entire project is valued at more than $44 million.
Dalfen Industrial owns and operates more than 15 million square feet of industrial space nationwide.
The company has offices in Dallas, Florida, Georgia, Ohio and Canada.
Dalfen – which has its U.S. headquarters in Dallas – owns more than a half dozen industrial and office properties in North Texas.
Dalfen’s DFW Airport project is in the same area that several new industrial developments are gearing up.
Atlanta-based Seefried Industrial Properties Inc is planning a 2-building, 356,000-square-foot warehouse project in Passport Park.
And Trammell Crow Co. is planning 2 million square feet of industrial and distribution space on more than 130 acres on Valley View Lane north of State Highway 183.
Crow plans to construct a 4-building warehouse and office park on the property valued at more than $80 million.
