Capital One recently announced the opening of a new lounge in DFW Airport.
The lounge which will be named, Capital One Lounge, will offer a rest area for travelers waiting for their flights. Beverages and food will also be offered in the 10,000 square foot lounge Located in Terminal D close to Gate 22.
The lounge is expected to open sometime during late summer of 2021, and Capital One plans to open a second lounge at Washington DC’s Dulles Airport in 2022.
The lounges are designed with the needs of different types of travelers in mind. For airline passengers who are only able to stay for a short time, the lounge will offers a section of refreshments that are great for people who are in a hurry. These snacks are healthy, use ingredients that are regionally sourced, and come in sustainable packaging. Cold brew on tap will also be served.
For travelers with more time to between flights, a restaurant-quality meal service is also available. This dining experience will offer a wine selection from the nearby regions, beers from local breweries, and crafted cocktails on tap.
Besides refreshments the Capital One Lounge will also offer a wide variety of amenities like cycling and yoga rooms for exercising, and shower suites with bath amenities. The lounge will also have a work space available with complimentary Wi-Fi, plenty of power outlets, and flight display. There will also be a soundproof relaxation area for napping.
A family area will be available with tables and chairs for children, and a nursing room will have lounging chairs, mini fridges, baby bottle warmers, and diaper changing counters. For people who wish to pray, the lounge will offer a soundproof, multi-faith room. Visitors will be able to store their luggage in secure lockers.
Membership opportunities to the Capital One Lounge have not yet been announced. However, Capital One may follow American Express’ example of operating their nine airport Centurion Lounges.
